Last weekend I visited a farmers market near Asheville that hosted a “Growing in the Mountains” Spring Plant Sale and Festival.
Since I had just left the big Asheville Herb Festival the weekend before, there wasn’t a lot I needed but I came home with a few new tomato and pepper varieties, plus a few ground cherries.

- ‘Black Krim’ Tomatoes (4)
- ‘Mr Stripey’ Tomatoes (4)
- ‘Sungold’ Cherry Tomato (1)
- ‘Black Strawberry’ Cherry Tomato (1)
- ‘Aurora Blue” Tomato (1)
- ‘Purple Bumblebee’ Cherry Tomatoes (6)
- ‘Indigo Blue’ Chocolate Tomato (1)
- ‘Carrot Bomb’ Pepper (1)
- ‘Arroz Con Pollo’ Pepper (1)
- ‘Peperoncino’ Peppers (4)
- ‘Aunt Molly’s’ Ground Cherries (2)
- ‘Goldie’ Ground Cherry (2)
- ‘Beauregard’ Sweet Potato Slips (6)
- Tansy (1)

It’s always so much fun to visit these events for a little plant shopping and talking (and singing) with the knowledgeable merchants.
