The Cabbage White Moths Are Just Fine

Remember the (low-key) outrage I caused by covering cabbage plants?

I think the Cabbage Whites are just fine. The Cabbage White Butterflies/Moths are enjoying the Verbena Bonariensis I have planted around my property for the pollinators to enjoy.

These butterflies/moths lay eggs on brassica plants and the larvae will eat and destroy your cabbages, broccoli, kale, etc. I do not harm them, since they are a beneficial pollinator, but I do cover my cabbages to protect them from eggs being laid. They can find somewhere else to lay their eggs that is not on my food. 😉
