Rooting Tomato Suckers

When you have a larger tomato sucker, or if you accidentally chop off part of the plant, you can root it in the soil as long as you keep the soil wet enough.

You can also put them in a jar of water and wait until you see roots to plant out. Tomatoes are one of the easiest vegetables to clone this way and you can increase the amount tomato plants you have in the garden.

If you are hot/dry like we are, you may have to check them and water consistently! I’m shocked mine made it… and they look a little rough.

We can do another update in a few weeks to show their growth and progression.
