INGREDIENTS |

1 head cabbage (2 lbs) |
1/2 onion, sliced |
1 Tbsp. course salt |
2 Tbsp. sugar |
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar |
1 1/2 cups water |
1 Tbsp. dijon mustard |
DIRECTIONS:
- Wash and chop your vegetables.
- Combine everything into a large pan on the stovetop.
- Cook on medium heat, checking every 10 minutes to stir and make sure the kraut isn’t sticking.
- Cook for 20-30 minutes, or until everything is wilted and tastes like sauerkraut.
- Store in a 1 quart jar. Use within 2 weeks.
