Harvesting Pea Shoots – Yes, You Can!

Most people harvest the peas from pea plants in the garden… but did you know you can also harvest the pea shoots?

I’ve grown pea shoots as microgreens inside, but the top 2 inches of the pea vines outside are also edible. They are tender and taste similar to the peas with a more earthy, green flavor.

They go great in salads and sandwiches.

And don’t worry… they don’t set the plant back because the pea vines grow so fast. Give them a try!
