Chicken care is hard and not always easy

Yesterday was rough. I ended up tending to a chicken that I thought was eggbound (at first). I’m not experienced enough to know if she had a tumor or if this was another case of egg peritonitis, where the egg misses the tube and ends up embedded in their system. According to my vet (the last time I went through this), it is very common at the 3-4 year age mark.

I would’ve brought her to the vet but it was around 8-9 pm and after checking around, none were open.

As a last ditch effort for advice or help, I went on live last night to see if anyone in the community could assist. I posted that to YouTube in case anyone wants further information (prob some teachable moments in there–and I should warn that there is one lewd person I let into the Live because I thought they were coming to assist me).

But she passed shortly after I started the live and was laid to rest with her sisters that have gone before her.
