Here’s a little guide on understanding fertilizer numbers and what they mean for your plants.

I don’t use a ton of fertilizers, but when I do I stick mostly to the Espoma brand for my fertilizer needs because they are light, organic, and I know they won’t hurt my plants. I have always used their Tomato-tone and Garden-tone products for my garden.

The only other one I use a lot is fish emulsion because I rely more on compost and worm castings as organic soil ammendments.
