How to start seeds successfully for the garden.
Tip 2: Don’t fertilize your soil-less mixture. Use worm castings as an amendment.
Fertilize with diluted fish emulsion or compost tea once seedlings get a few of their real leaves.
Why? Seeds have everything they need to sprout and get started. Commercial fertilizers are very high in NPK, which can be harsh and too strong. I take a gentle approach to slowly adding to their feeding routine.
And these tomato plants are now ready for planting in the garden!
